Kairali is the oldest Malayali organisation in Perth, having formed in 1995 with the objective of promoting an understanding and appreciation of Malayali culture and society. The Club stems from the Kerala area, a southern state in India.
The objectives of Kairali Club are:
  • to cultivate an understanding and an appreciation of Malayali culture and society;
  • to provide a link between the members of the Club and other associations within Australia and throughout the world that share similar objectives;
  • to promote and support educational and creative learning opportunities.
In this pursuit Kairali has organised numerous cultural events across the Perth landscape highlighting Kerala fine art forms and harmonising it with other ethnic art and culture.
Kairali members meet at the Rostrata Family Centre on Saturday afternoons and they also hold informal get-togethers – Kairali Nites.
